Today in languages I finished this pancake recipe.

Ingrédient
Une tasse de farine
Une tasse de lait
Une œuf
Deux cuillerée de cassonade
Cinquante gramme beurre fondu
Méthode
Tamiser la farine en gros saladier.
Verser le lait dans le saladier et ajouter le œuf alors fouet ensemble.
Ajouter la cassonade et mettre le beurre au micro-ondes pendant 45 secondes.
Versez le beurre fondu dans le mélange puis remuez.
Allumez la cuisinière à feu moyen et ajustez pendant que vous cuisinez, mettez de l'huile sur la poêle puis prenez une louche et versez votre mélange dans la poêle.
Cuire de chaque côté jusqu'à ce qu'il soit doré et retourner avec une spatule.
Servir dans une assiette avec les garnitures au choix.

Engaged
I showed I was engaged in all of the activities, especially in orienteering. In orienteering I was very engaged in finding the numbers/symbols since they were hidden and hard to find sometimes. I worked hard on looking all around and concentrating so we could try win. We did win.
Resourceful
I showed I was resourceful during cleaning. Addie, Alexa, Jayden and I worked very hard on making sure the bathrooms and cabins were clean. We cleaned the boys, girls and the two disabled toilets. We swept and mopped six cabins. I think that we were very helpful by doing that.
Imaginative
I showed I was imaginative in fire and shelter building. We did this by being creative, thinking about what we could make our fire and shelters of and how we could make them.
Belonging
My group helped me in all of the activities. They helped in high ropes by holding me up so I didn't fall and die. They also helped in activities such as orienteering and search & rescue by us all working together to find the clues. In raft building they helped build the raft so that It wouldn't fall apart. My cabin group was also good at helping each other out during the day and night and making sure no one felt left out or scared.
In science Addie and I are working on a spaceship design. We have designed it to look good but we will need to figure out some scientific stuff to add and work into it. We have to research about how we are going to fit all the luggage/building supplies and how much we will be able to bring due to the weight.

Why Everyone Should Go To Camp
Persuasive Argument Essay
This essay is about why we shouldn’t all go to camp, since I disagree with the topic. I am going to explain why I think it would be a very bad idea to let them come.
Camp is supposed to be a really fun time and we are supposed to enjoy all the activities. There are people in our class that make the classroom a not pleasant place. I think that these violent, rude, or/and disrespectful students will ruin our experience at camp with their horrible behaviour.
The teachers shouldn’t have to be yelling and telling off students 24/7 at camp. With the students I was describing before attending camp they would have too, which would be awful for them because they also want to enjoy camp with not as much stress.
The other students shouldn’t have to wait for the rude students to get told off and their consistent talking back would just make that even longer. The good students will be irritated with not being able to move on to the next activity without a verbal fight between the students and teachers.
These students all being together is even worse. Not only would the teachers and students be fighting but the students and other students could be too. And not just verbal either. We really don’t want a physical fight going. It would cause a stressful and negative environment. The teachers would have to deal with it and find a punishment which would be hard when they can’t send them to the principle.
These people are the type to bring illegal items such as vapes, alcohol, drugs (most likely weed). If they used these at camp it would be really bad for our school reputation and would be very annoying for the teachers to deal with it. If other students found out they were caught with it everyone would be gossiping about it.
Ava and Addie set flight to Unicorn Land, a planet full of unicorns. They’d never been there but had been researching it for months. They’ve always loved unicorns, ever since they were little kids.
On the way to Unicorn Land they went past many planets, Bakaland was one of them. Bakaland is a very special planet for all the Bakas. Addie and I are Bakas too!! But we’ve been exploring all the other planets for a while now. But Bakaland was by far the best EVER planet.
Ava and Addie had been traveling from Emo Land for 3 days but luckily they have a self-driving chicken spaceship! Which was really good so they didn't get too tired.
Ava and Addie landed on Unicorn land. Boom the unicorns killed them within seconds. The End.
On Wednesday in science we got given a long strip of paper and some big and small circle stickers. We got shown how to measure them out in planet order and how far away they are from each other. This helped us learn more. After that we go given instructions by Sharon on how to make these planets out of play-do in the right size. This is how it turned out.
This week I have been learning about irony. There is 3 different types of irony. Verbal irony, dramatic irony and situational irony. They all mean stuff to do with opposite.
When Tom and James left the house they both noticed the weather was absolutely terrible. They had to walk 20 minutes to school. It was gushing down and the wind could almost pick you up and fly you away. Five minutes into the walk it started hailing. Tom looked at James and said “the weathers great today, isn’t it”.
In this piece of writing there is verbal irony which is the same as sarcasm. Saying something when you actually mean another, e.g “the weathers great today, isn’t it” when you know that the weather was actually horrible and the opposite of great.
In science we have been learning about how day and night works. We got given in our groups a small piece of paper, a paper clip, a small Styrofoam sphere, a pen, some sellotape and instructions. We put it all together to make a globe that can spin. After that we got a light so we could shine it towards the globe as we slowing spun it, this represented how day and night works. We watched how NZ's day and night worked. Then we made a stop motion explaining how it works while we spun the globe with the light on it.
This term I want to share more of my work with others. That means I will also have to get better at finishing my work so another one of my goals will be to stay focused and move myself away from any distractions if I'm not. I want to get better at remembering and using all the strategies I've been taught in math so I can get answers easier and faster.
Today we learned how to do this story timeline thing. We leaned how it worked by having a story - Uenuku, then Sharon read it twice and we had to try figure out what parts of the story went where then she explained and showed us where they went.
It started off with a Status Quo, a Status Quo is just how their normal life is before anything has happened. In the one we were doing he was just playing in bushes, hunting and gathering food.
Then it went into the Call Of Adventure which is basically what happened for them to get into the adventure, maybe who told them to come and how it happens, it's what happened for their life to change. In the story we were doing it about, he runs into a beautiful girl and tells her he was going to meet her later that night.
Then their is Departure, this is when the character is leaving to his new life and what happened for that to happen.
Then it's Trials, trials are the things before the crisis that lead up to the crisis making it happen, in this story the trials was when he hold his friends about her when he wasn't supposed to.
The Crisis is the bad thing that happens that they have to resolve, the crisis in the story was when the girl runs away and never came back because he broke his promise.
The Return is when they start living life again and get over the crisis.
The New status quo in this story is when he gets turned into a rainbow with the girl and they live happily ever after.
On Tuesday most of our class head off to do a 7km Challenge. We had to either run, run/walk or walk from Broad Park to Spencer Park, that was 7km. When we arrived at school we lined up for the teachers to separate us into groups of people we were getting a ride to Broad Park with, I was in a car with Lily, Serinity and the parents who drove us, sadly Addie got separated from us and was put in a car with her brother and his friends.
When we got to Broad park we reunited with her and went on the playground for a bit the we went over to the trailer to put our bags in it, I look a bar with me in case I got hungry and also my gum so my mouth wouldn't get dry which i'm glad I did. We went back to our group and head off.
Our group decided to run the first kilometre so we wouldn't be to behind, the running group had left first so they were marking off every km and put arrows up if there was two paths to choose from so each group could stop at so our parent/teacher could count us and make sure no one went missing.
The second km felt so long because we walked it. Then we decided not to run too much of it and sprint down the hills, once when I was sprinting down a hill and I almost slipped on the mud that their was a lot of the time.
After almost slipping over we kept on jogging until we had it into this path of white trees and it was all foggy and misty, then it started to rain a bit which was really nice and refreshing since we were really hot.
When we finally got up to the 6km mark the arrow stuck to the tree was pointing up instead of left of right so we had to wing it and go right, luckily we went the right way. Shortly after making the turn we came out of the bush and there we were at Spencer.
Mr Redmond waved at us to run the last part to him, he took at photo of Addie, Lily and I at the finish line then we went over to find a seat fir our bags. We sat at the seats for a couple minutes and had some water and something to eat then we went over to the playground.
Lily brought some money with her so we asked Mr Redmond if we could go to the shop, he surprisingly said yes with a jokingly condition of buying him something. So we walked over and got a big bottle of coke and some gum each and of course got one for Mr Redmond. We walked back over and gave Mr Redmond his lolly.
We were walking around when we saw Ali cooking the sausages up so we went over and got one, we all felt sick from eating the gum before the sausage.
For the rest of the day we just hung around until it was time for us to leave. Half the people had to stay behind because there wasn't enough transportation, Addie and I left first but Lily got left behind so we didn't see her for another 45 minutes since it takes 15 minutes to drive back to school and drop us off then 15 minutes to drive back to Spencer and another 15 minutes of them driving back the next kids from Spencer.
When Addie and I got back to school we went inside to find out that Nogo had bought the kids who didn't go Pizza! We were a bit jealous but we didn't care because we had, had quite a good day already.
Overall the day was really fun and I would definitely take an opportunity like that again
In Te Reo Māori today we practiced commenting on other peoples blogs with Māori words/sentences. After that we learned how to use past tense, present and future, "I haere ahau/au" means "I went" or "I have already gone", "Kei te haere ahau" means "I am going" and "Ka haere ahau" means "I will go."
Today in math I did a division test, I got all of them right except 1, so 99/100. The question I got wrong I know but accidentally said the wrong number. After that I did a chart on the division questions, the green shows what questions I know.
For math we did a test of our multiplication. Afterwards we filled in this table, the green indicates the times tables I know. My goal is to work on 7x6 and 6x8, I know how to do them but I get confused sometimes and get the wrong answer when I'm rushing.

Yesterday at tech my group had cooking first. In cooking we were making pizzas, we could chose any toppings we wanted and any shape we wanted our pizzas to be. First we made the dough then we rolled it out and put out toppings on. I put cheese, spinach, salami, pineapple and onion. Addie and I made our pizzas people and Violet made hers a shop so me and Addie were going to her shop. After we did woodworks.
Fitness
Yesterday we had fitness. In fitness we have to run around the bike in under 3 minutes, we had to do two laps instead so the time limit was 6 minutes. Me and Addie The Baddie are so fast and cool so we ran 2:53 which is under the time that you are suppose to run one lap because, of course we are really super fast. I think i'm getting a lot faster and i'm pushing myself harder every day even though I was already a speedy beast.
