   • an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping.

If you don't understand, tessellation is when the same shape can fit together perfectly with no gaps. These are some shapes I found that tessellate. There is obviously a lot more shapes but I didn't have enough space or time to do more.

 Multiplication 

In my multiplication I got 98% and it took me 5 minutes and 20 seconds.

The 2 I got wrong we're 2 x 8 which accidentally did 19 instead of  16 

and 2 x 4 which I accidentally did 24 instead of 8, I must of thought it said 6 x 4

Division

In my division I got 98% as well in 9 minutes and 44 seconds.

The 2 I got wrong we're 28 ÷ 4, I did 6 instead of  7 and 20 ÷ 5, I did 5 instead of 4

Rotate, Slide, Flip

We have been learning about rotate, slide, flip. Last time we did it on paper and this time we did it on google drawings. This kind of explains how it works if you look at it, go to my last blog post if you want to see how rotate, slide, flip works.

Rotate, slide, flip

 

We have been learning about rotate, slide, and flip. For this one we had to draw and cut out shapes then stick them to a bigger piece of paper in places that show rotate, slide, flip. In this photo there is only slide and flip because the rotate. Rotate is when you rotate the shape 0° 90° 180° 270° depending on what it says, slide is when you slide the shape across, flip in when you flip the shape to the opposite side.

Kiwiana Word Find A & P show

Around last week Maiah and I made a word find with a kiwiana theme, the worde find is to put in our school A & P show that we are having since the real one got cancelled. The category it's going in is Puzzles. I'm not sure why it has a massive space in the middle of it, something happened when I was copying and pasting it and I can't fix it. Have a look to see if you can find any of the words, they go all directions and I think one of the words if backwards.
