I hope you like this story

The Mouse

I was just trying to find food because I was starving when I saw this old man that was looking at me like I was a ghost, I’m really not that scary I’m so small and soft like a dog, HUMANS LOVE DOGS buuuuuuuttt they don’t seem to like mice for some reason!

I climbed up the rubbish bag and jumped up to the counter, the counter was an obstacle course, there were jars to go around, spoons to jump and bowls to go under. At the end of the obstacle course was a box being held up by a match and I think there was some food under the box so I went under it….. There wasn’t food☹️ and I was trapped under the box.

There was this noise coming from outside the box, I think he was dancing! Like how rude is that? He was dancing in victory about me being trapped! I was furious, so I tried to escape by moving but two seconds later I was stopped then a news paper slipped under me. Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh I was being lifted up then all of a sudden it was cold, meeeooowww I was moving again but this time I was grateful because that cat didn’t seem very nice.

All of a sudden we stopped and then I heard him walking away and I was still starving so if I didn’t get food soon I thought I was going to starve to death!

Poke poke poke poke, there was now holes in the box. The old man pushed a lid with water under the box, I refused to drink because of what he had been doing to me! Ouch a bread crumb fell on my head so I head butted it back out the hole. The box started to open and then the box lifted up, I was free and standing up on my hind legs!

But then I sort of wanted to stay, so I stared at him and he put the bread crumb in front of me again. I refused to eat it so I crossed my tiny arms and looked the other way! He took it away and ate it but then he did this weird hand thing and there it was, the crumb was in his hand he was magic!

He gave the bread crumb to me and I walked slowly towards the crumb then sniffed it and picked it up, walked away, looked back then ate it. The old man reached out to touch me, without thinking I ran away. I felt bad because really, he just wanted a friend!

Later on that night I found him and ran up to his arm chair where he was sleeping then jumped up to the chair and crawled up close to his face. There was some crumbs on his pyjamas so I climbed up to his shoulder and ate them with pleasure, the old man opened his eyes then looked at me and smiled.

The End
